This scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons graduating senior who is going on to either a 2 or 4 year college.  Grade point average is not significant.  This student should be an athlete who shows exceptional sportsmanship.  It is not a requirement that the athlete be the star of the team, but rather shows a love for the sport and respect for his/her teammates.  Also, the recipient of this award should show a passion for music, (in school or out of school), which could include playing of an instrument, or writing of music/songs.  These were Andy’s passions and talents.  He brought smiles to the faces of everyone for whom his passions touched.  The teachers should submit finalists to the principal and Andrew’s parents will choose the recipient.
